This year we celebrated with a difference. We had the usual Christmas classes, inviting everyone to put on a little Christmas Bling, along with Christmas songs. The difference this year was bringing together most of my classes for the end of year lunch. Silverdale, Highgrove, Hobsonville and Murrays Bay classes all came together for a shared lunch one Sunday afternoon. This was such a wonderful get-together that even the rain didn’t dampen our spirits. Throw into the mix a fun 20 question Christmas quiz. Looking forward to next year’s celebration already.
My Greenhithe class continued with tradition, getting together at Pearls place for a shared lunch. We were lucky enough to see the sunshine, enabling us to have a wander through Pearls most beautiful, incredible garden.
As classes continued for the final week, my Silverdale didn’t want to miss out on our new tradition of a secret Santa game, the main rule is to buy a gift not more than $10 from an op shop. So following a shorter class, we did our secret Santa.
It’s so wonderful to be building friendships and new traditions each year. Here’s to a wonderful holiday break and looking forward to classes for 2023.
