Maria, a member of our Wednesday morning class in Howick, is involved with Project Uplift, an organisation that collects pre-loved bras.

These are then sent to women in need, mostly in the Pacific Islands.

In August, Maria told us that she was going to Fiji in September and taking bras and reading glasses with her to donate to the women there.

Many of the ladies in our class chose to bring in bras and reading glasses to add to Maria’s collection.

When Maria delivered these to a small village in Fiji, she was warmly welcomed and the women were delighted.
