Val’s Remuera, Sunnynook & Te Atatu FLexercise Classes
This year it was decided by all members, to celebrate our Christmas break-up with food nibbles in the hall after class. In this way we could all socialise in a much more relaxed manner than in a restaurant.
So after each class, we held our Christmas celebration. First of all, Sunnynook class on 1st December with 20 members celebrating. Next Te Atatu on 4th December, again with lots of members being present. Unfortunately, 4 of our Te Atatu members were unable to attend, we send them our well wishes and look forward to seeing them again FLexercising in the New Year.
Remuera had their celebration Tuesday 10th December and again wonderful food produced the various members. Such delights.
It all worked out extremely well and had lots of enjoyment. Wonderful food that all members bought in for us all to sample. We really needed to exercise after the food, not before.
On Friday 8th December, a number of my members went to Waiheke for the Christmas celebration and farewell do for Rosemary McKenzie. A great time had by all those present.
Many thanks to Rosemary for all her contributions over the years to Fitness League.

Nina’s Pakuranga Village & Pukekohe FLexercise Classes
Pakuranga Village Last Class & Christmas Lunch
The Pakuranga Village centre had a most enjoyable last class followed by a Social Lunch to mark the end of another year. Sadly, it was also the end of an era, as I have decided to give up driving the 90kms return.
Since taking over from Cheryl at the start of 2011, I have enjoyed getting to know the members and I will miss their friendship. I hope to continue to keep in touch and to meet up for the occasional cuppa and chat.
I wish to thank them for their loyal support over the years and it was really great to see them all come along for our final class together.
Pukekohe Last Class & Christmas Lunch
Once again Pukekohe had an enjoyable final class of the year.
The next day our Christmas Social was held at a Retirement Village hall.
We have been very pleased to welcome several new members from the Expo at the end of September and it was good to have them join in the festivities.
I wish you all a Happy Christmas and Healthy New Year and look forward to another year of friendly exercise classes.

Glenfield Christmas Lunch
The Glenfield class had an adventure for our Christmas lunch. We caught the ferry with our free travel cards to Waiheke Island. We then hopped on the bus to Onetangi where we had a lovely lunch at Charley Farley’s restaurant.
Looking out over the beach the weather decided to be windy and a bit chilly but we warmed the air with all our talking.

Sonya’s Hobsonville, Greenhithe, MurraysBay & Silverdale-Tuesday FLexercise Classes
Greenhithe
Sonia’s Monday Greenhithe class celebrated their usual way with Pearl very generously opening her doors once again. We enjoyed our shared lunch in her beautiful home. No stay at Pearls is complete without a wonderful garden tour of her amazing garden.
Hobsonville
Sonia’s Hobsonville class enjoyed a very festive final class, followed with a lovely little morning tea at the Deli Brothers Cafe which they frequent after class. Joined by one of the brothers in the group photo, with his little bubba.
Murrays Bay
Following a group celebration that was held on Sunday, Sonia’s Murrays Bay had their last class of the year the following Thursday, with a little double celebration, not only was this the last class, it was also one of the members birthday.
Silverdale-Tuesday
Sonia’s Silverdale class continued with tradition, ending their last class of the year with a secret santa. We had so much fun with the opportunity to do a little steeling of each others gifts here and there. There are always a couple of rules: Gifts are purchased from an Op shop, and not more than $10. This way we support a charity and keep it as green as possible.
