It was a cold and windy wet day on Saturday July 25th, but a great day to be inside, be warm and cosy and play Bingo.

We played four games before afternoon tea. Everyone had their eyes down and were ready for Sonia to call the numbers out with lots of Christmas rhymes, such as no.87 was pavlova and no. 5 was 5 golden rings!!! All were hoping that the last number on their house came out so they could call the line or Bingo.

We stopped to have afternoon tea so the members could recharge then come back to the tables and play another three games.

All the classes dressed up their tables with lots of Christmas fare and nibbles to keep them going. As well as wearing Christmas t’shirts, earrings, and tinsel.  A great effort from all the members.

Unfortunately we were a bit short of tables, so one group kindly cleared their table so we could put afternoon tea away from the tea and coffee on the kitchen bench.They were awarded special prizes to share for their effort.

We would like to thank Glen for her help bringing the bingo numbers and equipment and taking charge of all the members arriving. Also to Christine for being willing to give a helping hand to Glen on the door.

Another special thank you to all the members who donated money towards the fundraiser as they were unable to attend the event.

All this team work achieved a fantastic amount of $1,126 for FLexercise NZ.
