End of Year & Christmas Celebrations

December 28, 2024 By Val

Katikati – Christmas & End of Year Class

What a great final class for Katikati after ½ hour of exercises to Christmas music, the decorated tables were brought out into the hall for “Secret Santa” always a lot of fun with lots of guessing, poking, shaking etc,

then after “Thankyous” to my 2 receptionists who shared the position over the past year and a gift to the best attendee for the year who attended every class !!  I was also blessed with a very generous “Prezzy” card and a planter.

We were then entertained by a local singing group called the “The Songster”, run by one of the members, what a talented group, time to have a shared lunch with. 60 of us enjoying the beautiful spread of delicious food, thanks to everyone who contributed to another great year !!

Tauranga Christmas & End of Year Class

Lovely to see members dressed in their favourite Christmassy gear, after exercises to Christmas music we were entertained by 3 members Irene, Carol & Joan who did their own take on the we 3 kings, to “ the 3 wise women” very cleverly done, a few jokes which are always a joy to hear and then Irene read out a poem she wrote:

We 3 women of fitness are
Keeping agile, come by car,
With our weights and mats to work with
Hoping to last the hour

Oh music keeps us on our toes
Songs to help us forget our woes
Weekly sessions, our obsession
Health and friendships flows and grows

Pam instructs us how to move
Music blares, we’re in the groove
Bodies stretched & muscles supple
Lastly we’re calmed & soothed

What a talented group of ladies!

Then it was onto “Secret Santa” “thank yous”  to my receptionist and best attendee
And again blessed with another generous “prezzy” card.
Time to eat once again, sitting at beautifully decorated tables, time to say goodbye, big hugs all round. “See you again next year “

In the spirit of Christmas giving our amazing ladies also provided 5 banana boxes full of food, toiletries & treats to 2 local food banks.

Pukekohe – Christmas Social

The Pukekohe Centre had our last class on Tuesday 10th of December and we had our Christmas Social the next day at another more friendly venue, but many were unable to attend at this busy time of year.

Good Wishes for Christmas and the New Year
