On October 11th, whilst Nina was in the U.K. she attended the organisations 95th Anniversary Celebrations in London. She was invited onto the stage when Margaret Peggie spoke about Nina’s history and then Nina spoke and passed on to all present best wishes from New Zealand. Nina handed Margaret a card from us in NZ and was then presented with a vase.
It is clear glass, just my photo makes it look slightly pink. It is engraved with a rose and under that WLHB 1930 to FLEXERCISE 2025
The people in the photo below are Margaret Peggie, 3rd from left was the chair of the Events Team organisers and she is with the 3 who were considered to be Special guests.
On the left is Rosemary Barber who has been on numerous committees over the years promoting our organisation. Next to her is myself, enrolled by Prunella in 1939 and began attending junior classes in 1946 and trained 1955-1957. On the right is Pam Scott Watson now teaching in Forres (NE Scotland) who trained with myself. The mothers of all 4 of us were keen members.
It was a lovely day of celebration and I was proud to be there representing NZ.
