On Wednesday 6th August Katikati member Norma Beck celebrated her 90th birthday, about 35 members and friends came to celebrate her special day.

Secretly we planned the special morning tea for her, some members came early to set up the lounge with balloons, bowls of flowers and happy birthday banners, members also brought  plates of food, after class she was given a gift of a prezzie card and a plant. Rosalie made her delicious chocolate birthday cake.

Katikati centre opened in 2002 and Norma started in 2003 at that time she was in her late 60s and has now been a member for 22 years.

The only time she misses a class is for holidays or when she had 2 knee replacements and even then she was back in class in 8 weeks post op.

She is a true Legend!
