Katikati & Tauranga
Both classes wore green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
I forgot to take any photos at the Tauranga class.
An item of interest I found in our local paper, Katikati is considered to be New Zealand’s “Irish town”. Katikati is part of a Protestant settlement established by George Vesey Stewart in the 1870s. The settlers were from County Tyrone in Ireland and Stewart led two groups of settlers aboard the ships Carisbrook Castle & Lady Jocelyn.
We have Carisbrook Road & Jocelyn Street just off the main road.
